NC wedding

I realize I'm waaay behind on my blogging...but in editing a wedding I recently photographed, I came across this image and LOVE IT!! I wanted to go ahead & share it!

Danielle & Ryan

What a wonderful wedding! Danielle was our babysitter for a while & Ryan, a religion major, took several classes from my husband - and more importantly is a Duke Divinity student - the Alma Mater of my husband... Another reason we enjoyed this wedding so is because it was a family affair for us...Alvin, my husband, played the Brides processional, my two children were the precious flower girl & adorable ring bearer, and yours truly photographed the event. Yes, you can get the same package deal - or you can hire just me!

Ryan & Danielle opted to see each other before the wedding, which gave us loads of time to make tons of great pictures!

OMG!!

I cannot believe that this child is old enough for me to do her senior portraits...I mean come on - wasn't it just yesterday that I met her as a 5th grader? Since when do 12 year olds get to graduate? Because, I know I'm not getting that old! Nonetheless...I had fun making these images with Ellie! Thanks for being so patient & willing! Yoo-Hoo!!! Lindsey, where are you? I know, I know...I've dropped the proverbial Blog Ball! Will you believe me when I say I've been busy? I'll try harder...I promise!

I cannot even begin to tell you how much I love these images! Olivia & JD rocked this session! Olivia is also a photographer & you can just tell she had her groove on! Towns

One of the things I love about my job is watching new parents with their new baby! I love seeing the love the parents have for their own little bundles of chunk! These two parents were definitely in love with their little Towns...numerous times, and I mean numerous times, his sweet mama would brightly exclaim..."isn't he the cutest?" "Don't I have the cutest baby EVER?" (which by the way is what all good mama's are suppose to say!!) I can't wait to watch this little fellow grow over the coming year! More to come...

I can't believe how behind on blogging that I am! It's nearly time for this sweet girls' 6 month installment of her baby plan! I love photographing this chunky-monkey - they don't get much cuter than this! I received more compliments on her last session regarding her image with the mailbox, remember it? I can't even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed photographing this wedding! At the end of the day I felt like I'd married off my best friends! These two kids are so in love & man did it show! I seriously loved every image I took!

These two kids were really up for anything, we drove all around our little county, pulling off the side of the road, hopping out to make an image, jumping back in their truck & looking for the next location. Oh my goodness!!

This was Emmett's last session from his baby plan and did he end on a BANG! We had the best time & got so very many cute shots of this little man! I hope that I'll get to see him again one day soon!

Let's face it - it's hard getting your picture taken - I admit it! But I am so proud of this lady!! She wanted to give her children & grandchildren a gift that will last a lifetime and then some! I've said this before - I think it's super important for our children to have pictures of us! Get in front of that camera & smile - your kids will cherish that picture in 20 years!!

Anderson at 2!!

What a great idea!! Have a photographer at your birthday parties! It greatly frees up Mom & Dad from documenting the day - they get to enjoy the moment rather than watching it through the viewfinder. I had the best time at Anderson's birthday party! I was able to participate in the festivities & eat yummy birthday cake!

This precious family visited with me one sunny Saturday. We were out to capture cute belly shots & an even cuter 2 year old! I am making my way towards them this week as their sweet brother safely arrived last week! Can't wait to meet their newest family member...more to come!!

Party of 20!

What a great family! It's hard enough to get all your kids together once they've upped & grown, but when you have FIVE it's even harder! So, when this Mom realized that she'd have all her babies under one roof she made an appointment with me! We had a great time & even though there were 20 folks of varying ages everything seemed to move smoothly.

Collier @ 3 months!

I can't believe how fast this little boy is growing up! I had the best time photographing him this past time. One of my favorite people & undoubtedly one of his too, his grandmother, hung out with us the whole time! I can't wait to see him again in a few months for his 6 month session - although I get to see him nearly every Sunday...

What a cute, fun couple! I had the best time hanging out with them at their soon-to-be love nest! Adam is an amazing drummer & Michele is an uber talented artist! These kids are getting married in a couple of weeks & have asked Moi' to photograph their impending nuptials! I can't wait! I only accept a few weddings - they have to meet certain criteria...natural lighting, natural lighting & natural lighting - so that means the right time of day, the right location & the right couple - which these great kids fit, perfectly!
